As members of the healthcare community, we must recognize that DEIB is not simply another item on our list of things to do. DEIB is an asset that, when leveraged appropriately, can improve research and health outcomes for everyone while making a positive impact on the bottom line.
Executive Leadership can foster an inclusive culture by shifting structural, institutional, and process-based policies and procedures toward inclusivity for all stakeholders using strategies, best practices, and key performance indicators to counteract unconscious bias and create belonging.
